Come back to Rome.

Come back to Rome.

It’s blissful to see your hour glass figure walk away, but not this time. This season I fell short of your affection; This season I shattered your heart. A stabbing with an assegai, crucified you for your love for me. How could I leave you all alone in Aruba? How did I forget you jumped stars for me, all the way from Cuba? Look at me now, without you there is nothing to look at. A wet chicken drowning in shame like an exposed false prophet.

A broken vow, it is apparent I am not an owl.

I could have done this math with you. Our story would have been written in the night sky. But I added a one with a plus one to bring out a three. Not only a three but a three outside our brackets. How could I open my mouth to taste an apple pie from the Temptation Bakery? How did I break a ring finger to dip it in brown sugar as if I don’t have honey? This thought makes me stammer, it strips a man of his amour.

How could I make you red and wet?

When; You stacked my corner stones, You saw a Tower of Babel in me. You are the melody of my life,

Come back please the song of my soul is now playing in adagio. Without you I am a windmill without wind. I am sleeping on the side were the bread isn’t buttered.

Please come back to Rome, You make it warm. Come back to Rome, You make it home. Come back to Rome, You make it Rome. Come back to Rome, You are my Rome.
