African passion

Melanin, is my glib skin of emerald beauty

Which has protruded from nature like the morning dew

And composed the hymn of the Northern majesties

Am I not the peaceful river of the Southern Hemisphere?

Cascading with fluvial purity bearing a crystalline lattice culture

Which bred me into ruby sculpture to motion good omen

Am I not the valorous queen from the Eastern Kingdom?

Rigid on the saffron horizon of the birth of dawn

Candidly declaring my love for mother Africa and her offspring

Am I not, the chilly breeze of the western coasts

Breathing fresh harmony into the glorious tides of the seas

Am I not the African passion, the passion of Africa
